Old Green Bay Road

Project Muse

We knew from the project inception that there would be a mural on the back wall of the dining room. Murals are, hands down, one of the most fun elements to design. Since they are custom by nature, you can truly incorporate personal and meaningful parts of the client’s world in them. We knew that our clients had a strong ancestral draw to the coast with all of their nautical art and objects around the house. But we admittedly never would have suspected that this blond, blue eyed client also shared a Japanese ancestry. We eagerly took this and ran with it, modeling the mural after traditional Japanese motifs of water, red-crowned cranes and cascading fuchsia wisteria.

Noteworthy Moment

Nothing beats a nine year old client. It is fun to share newly installed rooms with our clients but it is beyond exhilarating to share them with a child who ooo's and agh's over the total transformation of a space they knew so well.

In the client's own words...

"I never could have imagined any of this, but it is exactly what would I see and love. Your team managed to find my exact style and blow me away.
